As a proactive student of CAS 274 (Integrated Marketing Communication) and ART 413 (Graphic Design III), I was presented with a unique educational opportunity to engage in the MyDU+ project from dual perspectives. My role spanned across both strategic and creative spaces, allowing me to bridge the gap between marketing strategies and graphic design.

In my role within the marketing group for CAS 274, I contributed to the development of MyDU+, a project that epitomized cross-functional collaboration and innovation. My marketing group was instrumental in crafting the concept of this application, designed to enhance the student experience at Dominican University by providing a centralized platform for academic and campus resources. This project allowed me to delve deeply into the strategic aspects of marketing, assessing the app's potential impact and the effectiveness of our approach to set MyDU+ apart in the educational landscape.

First round

In crafting the MyDU+ logo, I aimed for a design that was both simple and modern — an icon that could distinctly represent the app's functionality. Balancing this with the need to uphold the Dominican University brand, I focused on creating a logo that was recognizable and aesthetically pleasing, capturing the essence of MyDU+ in a single, coherent visual symbol.
